Note that the cards in Common and Uncommon are grouped thematically. The White Commons aren’t just White Commons – the first batch are White Weenie, the second are Enchantments or enchantment-based, the third are low-to-midcost flyers, and the fourth are pump effects. The monocoloured Rares are for the most part one-of effects – for example, you’ll notice that Red has Apocalypse but nothing else close to it. I didn’t lean too heavily on that though, as you can tell from Green.
